These terms govern your use of happymag.co.za and your purchase of products from HappyMag(“HappyMag”, “we”, “us”). By creating an account, placing an order, or paying for an order, you agree to these terms and our Privacy policy.

Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old (or have a parent or guardian place the order on your behalf) and able to enter a binding contract under South African law.

Products and personalisation

Many items are made to order using photos, text, or options you choose. You are responsible for reviewing previews, crops, colours, and quantities before payment. Colours and print results may vary slightly from on-screen previews due to materials and production.

You warrant that you own or have permission to use all content you submit and that it does not infringe anyone's rights or violate any law.

Prices, VAT, and payment

Prices are shown in South African Rand (ZAR) and include VAT where applicable. Shipping fees and any promotions are calculated at checkout. Payment is processed by PayFast; your order is confirmed when payment succeeds. We may cancel or refund an order if we cannot fulfil it, if payment fails verification, or if we suspect fraud.

Delivery

Delivery times are estimates, not guarantees. Risk of loss passes to you on delivery to the address you provide. You must supply a complete, accurate shipping address and reachable contact number. See Shipping & returns for more detail.

Cancellations and changes

Because products are often personalised, we may not be able to change or cancel an order once production has started. Contact us as soon as possible at hello@happymag.co.za if you need help.

Returns, defects, and refunds

Custom-made items are generally not returnable unless faulty or not as described. Your statutory rights under the Consumer Protection Act, 2008 (CPA) still apply where they cannot be excluded. Our Shipping & returns page explains how to report problems and request remedies.

Accounts

Keep your login details confidential. You are responsible for activity under your account. We may suspend or close accounts that abuse the service, submit prohibited content, or breach these terms.

Acceptable use

You may not use the site to upload illegal, offensive, or infringing content, interfere with the service, scrape data without permission, or attempt unauthorised access.

Intellectual property

HappyMag branding, site design, and product designs (apart from your uploaded content) remain our property or our licensors'. You receive no licence except as needed to use the shop and receive your purchased goods.

Disclaimer and liability

The site and products are provided as described on the product pages. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss. Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or any liability that cannot be excluded under South African law.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa. Disputes should first be raised with us at hello@happymag.co.za; courts in South Africa have jurisdiction where required by law.
